But while the weather-worn rocks, play of light, and rock pools all contribute to my visual language, there is an ingredient that is harder to describe…Its about not caring if the sun isn’t shining, loving a foggy morning, cold icy swims, the silence, stretching my eyes to distant horizons, majestic landscapes, hidden tropical valleys, pirates treasure, celebrating long summer evenings with fires on the beach and knowing that you are surrounded by other people who get that. That’s my Cornwall and I want to make jewellery to capture its unique spirit…”

KEY AESTHETICS
CROWN
Inspired by Cornwall’s precious treasuresFrom observing rock pools, reflections in water, the play of light on the sand at low tide, the intricacies of lichen on wood and stone, and the notion of digging up pirate’s treasure on the beach…… Always reminded of Cornwall’s surrounding mining heritage, the image of small nuggets of gold lying just beneath the surface, their natural, tactile and precious properties are ever-present in my design aesthetic.
DRIFT
Inspired by Cornwall’s majestic coastlineThe towering majestic rocks and windswept dunes of the north to beachcombing on the sheltered coves of the South. The Drift range is about the strong weathered lines of Cornwall’s coast and the joy of finding hidden crevices filled with sea worn shapes and forms. The strata of eroding cliffs, half hidden dune fences, sea sculpted drift wood and lines of lodged pebbles.
LANDSCAPE
Sharing moments of playful contemplationPebble rings, part of the Landscape range, are inspired by idle days spent stacking pebbles on the beach. I love methodically and meditatively selecting and placing perfect stones to build a temporary structure. When I come across pebble towers built by other happy beach goers I am always transported momentarily into that same contemplative state. This design was designed to carry a small part of that feeling with you at all times!
BUD
Inspired by the compelling beauty of natureThe original idea behind the bud range was to bring a natural and 'organic' feel to classic, traditional ring designs. There is a beautiful randomness to nature, that is both ordered and irregular and I wanted to try and capture that in this range …. to create a timeless classic ring design with a compelling, contemporary twist.
